One western Oklahoma school district will be holding a bond election tomorrow.

Canute Public Schools district patrons will be asked to vote on two propositions that, if passed, would go towards multiple improvements.

According to the school the bonds do not include a projected tax increase.

The bond issue, which includes two propositions, will provide schools across the district, with facility, technology and transportation improvements.

The proposal includes junior high and high school students each receiving Chromebooks, while the district’s iPads will be distributed to elementary students. 10-passenger vans for small-group elementary, junior high and high school extracurricular trips and field trips, including one with a wheelchair lift; an agricultural truck to support the needs of FFA students; and four 54-passenger buses for transportation to and from school, including one with a wheelchair lift.

The bonds would also go towards upgrades to make the campus accessible to all students and guests and allow the district to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Polls open tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
