A Butler woman is in jail after being charged with two felony counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after she allegedly attacked her mother and grandmother.
The probable cause affidavit said that on January 2, Custer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a domestic disturbance incident that had taken place at a home near Cutberth Campground site, on the north side of Foss Lake State Park.
When deputies arrived they would find 42-year-old Brittania Brandi Mills in the front yard of the residence with blood on her shirt. She was placed in handcuffs and detained while the deputies conducted their investigation.
The court document would state that after entering the home, they would find an 86-year-old victim lying in a pool of blood. It was discovered that the woman had been stabbed in the neck and cheek and was bleeding from her scalp. The deputy also noted that the woman had defensive wounds on her hands, and it appeared that the woman had broken a leg or hip during the altercation.
The victim would tell deputies that Mills had attacked her with a knife and had also hit her in the head with a desk phone.
The second victim, Mills’ 64-year-old mother, would show deputies an injury to the back of her head. Stating that the bloody wound was caused by Mills when she struck her with a meat cleaver during the altercation.
It is unknown as to why the defendant attacked the women.
Deputies stated that both victims were flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City to be treated. As of press time, their condition is unknown.
Mills’ first court date is scheduled to take place on January 30. A preliminary hearing will take place on February 10.
