Authorities are investigating an apparent hit and run incident in Custer County that has left a Weatherford man dead.
According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Friday on the Interstate 40 service road, near mile marker 71 – 3 miles east of Clinton.
OHP says that’s where 60-year-old Oscar Washa was found and transported to AllianceHealth Clinton where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
OHP says the cause of the collision and the condition of the victim all remain under investigation.
