Clinton, OK — Jason Scott Denney, 37, was arrested October 12 on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material and violating Oklahoma’s Computer Crimes Act, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Custer County District Court.

Police were called to a Clinton address the evening of October 12 after a report that an older phone linked to Denney contained suspected illegal content. Officers secured a search warrant for Denney’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices, including phones, tablets, computer towers, SD cards, and a laptop, the affidavit states.

On October 13, investigators obtained a second warrant to triage the devices. According to the affidavit, detectives reported finding files they believe depict child sexual abuse material within a cloud-linked photo application on one of the phones.

On October 14, detectives interviewed Denney after advising him of his rights. The affidavit says Denney acknowledged recognizing himself in a previously viewed video and said it was recorded in his room. He was then booked into the Clinton City Jail.

Prosecutors requested the following charges: two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of violating the Computer Crimes Act. A judge signed a probable cause finding on October 14.

Bond was set at $75,000, with conditions that include no contact with children under 18 and no possession of internet-capable devices, according to the filing.
