Speaking to the Elk City Rotary Club, Elk City City Manager Tom Ivester updated the group of a major upcoming infrastructure project.
Ivester said work could begin on the city’s largest water main replacement program in 40 years sometime this year. He said almost 9,000 feet of water line will be replaced, once the city Commission accepts a bid for the project.
Ivester said once a bid is accepted, and assuming the Water Resources Board approves the project, construction could begin within 60 days.
