Details have been released of the findings of contraband inside a cell at the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre that landed two inmates additional felony charges.

According to court documents released last week, after a request made by the Office of Inspector General in October 2021, authorities conducted a search of a cell at the facility that was occupied by the two inmates. A K9 officer alerted to something underneath the bottom bunk, where authorities would find, among other things, illegal contraband that allegedly included marijuana, methamphetamine, and two vials of THC.

The two cellmates who occupied the cell, 49-year-old Richard A. Barrett and 35-year-old Jack D. Glaspie, both of Lawton were both charged with trafficking in illegal drugs and two counts of possession of contraband.
