Weatherford, OK — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says an 18-year-old Southwestern Oklahoma State University student reported missing last week has been found deceased, and another 18-year-old has been arrested.

SWOSU Police asked the OSBI on Oct. 5 to investigate the disappearance of student Logan Nathaniel Musil, who was reported missing the night of Sept. 30. OSBI special agents and local authorities conducted a multi-day search.

On Oct. 8, the OSBI, Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department, and the National Park Service searched a wooded area near Veteran’s Lake in Sulphur. An adult male was located deceased and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which positively identified the victim as Musil.

During the investigation, agents learned Musil had been in an altercation with Cameron Lewis, 18, prior to his death. Lewis was arrested Oct. 9 in Weatherford and booked into the Custer County Jail. Official charges will be determined by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma. The investigation is ongoing.

The OSBI thanked the SWOSU Police Department, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department, Murray County Sheriff’s Office, and the National Park Service for their assistance.
