Weatherford, OK – The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) will host a plant sale on Saturday, May 3, in the Old Science Building on the Weatherford campus. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and everyone is welcome to attend. Families and children of all ages will have the opportunity to learn about native plants through interactive activities.
Biology students, under the direction of Biology Club sponsors Drs. Mark Garcia and Marcella Santos, have propagated and maintained plants for sale during the semester. Proceeds from the sale will support student-centered academic and community service activities in the department.
The sale will feature succulent, tropical, wildflower, and vegetable plants, including: ferns, cacti, euphorbs, Indian blanket, coreopsis, tomatoes, and many more. Directions to the Old Science Building
From downtown Weatherford, follow Bradley Street north to campus. The parking lot is the first left after passing Oklahoma Ave. Signs will point you in the right direction, and if you make it to Davis Ave., you’ve gone too far.
