The investigation continues into the fatal shooting that occurred Thursday morning in front of an oil company in Elk City.
Local law enforcement that included Police with the Elk City Police Department and Beckham County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a business in the 900 block of S. Merritt Road on the west side of Elk City to a shooting where they would find both the victim and suspect.
Sheriff Derek Manning said the suspect was taken into custody and that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
Manning says the names of both the victim and the suspect have been been released at this time. He says additional information involving the case will be released via the Beckham County Sheriff’s App when appropriate.
