Attempted Contraband Smuggling at Granite Prison

Two separate incidents at the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite has landed two individuals with felony charges.

The first saw an Oklahoma City woman charged with conspiracy to traffic, and drug trafficking charges for allegedly bringing several packages of contraband into the prison. Court records show that 38-year old Crystal Parker was charged on October 17 for her role in the crime.

Court documents allege an inmate was caught with three packages of approximately 96 grams of both meth and marijuana following a visit with the inmate and Parker.

Parker was arrested on Thursday. Initial bond was set at $100,000. If convicted, Parker faces 20 years in prison for each charge.

Another incident saw 52-year-old Daniel Hendricks from Purcell arrested and charged with conspiracy to bring in contraband, as well as bringing contraband to the prison after a court document showed that Hendricks allegedly was found with several bags that contained cell phones, marijuana and tobacco.

Hendricks allegedly told investigators that he was paid several hundred dollars to do the drop, and also said he had no knowledge of what was inside the bags.

He’s in jail on a $250,000.
