The Elk City Big Elk baseball team claimed their second straight district title after dismissing the Weatherford Eagles Tuesday night 5-1 on Sr. Night inside Ackley Park on Charlie Joy field.
Church Shuts Down Eagles on the Mound
Elk City scored 5 runs in the second inning, and that was plenty for Sr. Cooper Church to slam the door on the Eagles on the mound. Church went the distance allowing only a 3rd inning, unearned run.
Perfect District Slate
Elk City finishes the district slate a perfect 12-0 and run their overall record to 26-3. The district championship also allows Elk City to host the Bi-district tournament next week and a 4 team regional tournament the first week in May.
