Elk City Golf Teams Dominate Tournaments as Regionals Approach

Both Elk City Golf Teams were in action today as they prepare for the upcoming Regional tournaments.

Elkettes Win Big

The Elkettes went to El Reno’s Crimson Creek golf club and won the tournament handily after firing their best score this season. Elk City shot 357 to win by 42 shots over OCS’s 399. Sr. Brett Barnett was the individual medalist by 10 shots after firing a season-best 76. Campbell Rainey finished 5th with 89. Jayden Manning shot 94 for 6th and Camryn Edney was the 4th Elkette in the top 10, finishing 8th with a 98. Sr. Caylin Burton shot 105. Elliott Rainey played as an individual and shot 117.

Big Elks Dominate

The Big Elks were in Clinton at Riverside golf course. The Brown and White dominated with 4 of their 5 in the top five en route to a team title. Elk City shot an even 300 to win. Nathan Womack shot 71 to win medalist honors. Mason Schmidt had 73 for 2nd. Tristan Dunn fired 76 for 4th and Brayden Duncan shot 78 to finish 4th. Keaton Twyman finished with a 90.

The Elk City golf teams look strong as they head into the Regional tournaments. Good luck to both teams!
