During the latest meeting of the Elk City Commission, the Commissioners approved a contract for deed agreement between Caswell Construction Company and the Elk City Industrial Authority for use of the property at 1215 S. Eastern Street.

City Manager Tom Ivester says the city plans to use the property to expand the city rock yard.

Ivester also noted that the property has a large building that will be able to house equipment that has otherwise been kept outside.

Ivester also detailed the payment plan the city and Caswell has agreed upon saying the city will pay $4,750 a month for the next 20 years. He said after 20 years, if the city is still using the property – they will obtain the deed to the land.
