Authorities are investigating the cause of a crash that has left one dead in Caddo County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the wreck happened in Fort Cobb just before 6a.m. Monday morning when Troopers said the driver of a 2015 Ford Explorer was traveling south on OK-9 when it left the road and hit a pedestrian before hitting a 2022 Ford F-150 driven by 78-year-old Gary Orrell of Fort Cobb.
Unfortunately Orrell was pronounced dead enroute to Tri-County Municipal Hospital in Carnegie.
A passenger in the SUV, 71-year-old Javier Salazar, was transported to Physicians Hospital in Anadarko where he was admitted in serious condition with internal trunk injuries.
Troopers said it is unknown if seatbelts were worn at the time of the crash.
