Former Big Elk Golfers Shine at Allen B Pease Intercollegiate with Top Performances

A pair of former Big Elk golfers, Tate Trotter and Tres Hill, competed at the Allen B Pease Intercollegiate this week held at Rose Creek in Edmond. The tournament featured a field of talented golfers from across the region, and both Trotter and Hill showed why they are among the top players in the game.

Tate Trotter and Tres Hill Compete at Rose Creek

Tate Trotter, who is in his 3rd season at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO), fired rounds of 84-75-81 in the cold, windy conditions. Despite the challenging weather, Trotter posted solid scores throughout the tournament and demonstrated his ability to compete at a high level.

Meanwhile, Tres Hill, who was Trotter’s former teammate at Big Elk and now plays for Oklahoma City University (OCU), finished in a tie for 3rd after shooting 72-70-75. Hill’s impressive performance helped the OCU Stars to a comfortable 18-shot victory over second-place Texas Wesleyan. OCU came into the tournament ranked 7th in the national rankings, and Hill’s strong showing was a key factor in the team’s success.
