Southwestern Oklahoma State University is now accepting entries for the 2022 homecoming parade. The parade will occur on October 15 at 1:30 pm in Weatherford’s Towne Centre. This year’s parade theme is “Calling All Dawgs Home.”
Parade entries are due by Noon on Monday, October 10, 2022.
All float entries will be eligible to compete for prize money. The first place float will be awarded $1,500, the second place will receive $1,000, and the third place will receive $700. Floats will be judged based on originality, design, quality of construction, mechanics, application of the homecoming theme, and in comparison, to other float entries.
“We are looking forward to a great parade and encourage all organizations and businesses to consider participating – the SWOSU homecoming parade is a great way to show your bulldog pride,” said Dr. J. Boone Clemmons the Assistant Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing.
All floats, queens, and units must complete the following Entry Form. The entry form for this year’s parade can be completed online.
Marching band entries should complete the Band Entry Form.
