Elk City Chamber of Commerce Press Release
Who’ll lead the community in 10 years? Who’ll run your company in 15? What experience will school board members of tomorrow have and will they be qualified to lead? Will they know leadership and will they have visionary leadership experience? If so, who taught them?
Perhaps it was learned through Leadership Elk City, a program of the Elk City Chamber of Commerce. Through Leadership Elk City Classes one through eight, a total of 91 individuals have graduated and are now actively engaged throughout our community.
The Elk City Chamber of Commerce is organizing its next leadership class and is accepting applications for Class IX. Through once a month sessions, selected adult participants in Leadership Elk City will receive an intensive examination of Elk City, how it’s developed and what drives it. New perspectives for creative leadership will be developed with the goal of giving participants the foundation needed to expand leadership roles in the work, community and their personal environment.
Applications are available at the Elk City Chamber of Commerce, but hurry because class size is limited, the application process is competitive and the deadline is noon on January 19.
The class is open to any adult with Elk City ties, either living or working in Elk City. A class of only 10-12 participants will be selected to join this distinguished program for 2023. The deadline for completed applications for LEC Class IX is Thursday, January 19 at noon at the Chamber office, 102 South Main.
At the conclusion of the Leadership Elk City Program, participants will have developed a network of in-depth relationships with everyday people of various backgrounds from throughout the community and will have gained a deeper insight and knowledge of leadership skills and community issues. Plus, graduates will be equipped and encouraged to tackle personal, professional and community concerns in a positive manner.
Leadership Elk City will prepare, involve and sustain leaders from diverse backgrounds to be committed and competent to address community and professional challenges while improving the quality of life in the community and in their personal lives.
Make a difference – bring out the leader inside you!
Contact Susie Cupp, Executive Director of the Elk City Chamber of Commerce for an application at 580-225-0207 or pick one up at the Chamber office, 102 South Main.
