A couple from Oklahoma City were injured after being involved in a two vehicle accident in Caddo County near Hydro.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol the accident occurred on OK-58 Tuesday afternoon just east of Hydro when while attempting to clear an intersection, the 2010 Lexus driven by 84-year-old Billy B. Droke was struck by a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by 27-year-old Bryce A. Butcher of Weatherford while he was traveling northbound on the highway.
Troopers say a passenger in the Droke vehicle, 82-year-old Bonnie Battle was pinned inside the vehicle for a short amount of time before being freed by the Hydro Fire Department.
Both the driver and the passenger of the Lexus were transported to Weatherford Regional Hospital where Droke was treated for minor injuries and released. However, Battle was admitted in good condition with trunk internal injuries.
Butcher was uninjured in the crash.
