Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning provided us with the latest update on the search of suspects who were involved in a high speed pursuit last week in both Wheeler County, Texas and Beckham County.

Manning said what is likely three suspects who fled on foot during the pursuit have not been located, and have more than likely left the area.

He said information that he was able to obtain from the three suspects that were caught suggests that the group did not know each other, and were picked up around the El Paso, Texas area.

Manning did say that there was a report of an apparent break in in the area where an individual made a meal, ate it, and left.

The incident originated early Thursday morning in Wheeler County when authorities attempted to pull over the Dodge Charger. The vehicle would not comply and lead multiple agencies on a high speed pursuit until the car became disabled in Beckham County.

Even though it is suspected that the remaining suspects have left the area, authorities are still asking the public to remain vigilant.
